Grass Roots and Irises
Grass Roots and Irises was the first entrepreneurial project of the Union of Youth (1996). Youth ages 12 to 18 assembled 110 Adirondack chairs. There was a marketing team to sell the chairs for $139, with $50 tax deductible. The chairs were made of rot-resistant red cedar and cadmium plated screws. 15 youth worked on this project and finished their goal a month ahead of schedule.
The Northfield Union of Youth job project ideas are generated by the youth. News ideas are continuously formulating for new job projects.
