The Carleton Garage Sale Raises Big Money for The Key
Posted by Joshua Jude, June 23rd, 2008.The Eight Annual Lighten-Up Carleton Garage Sale was a giant success this year. The fundraiser, hosted and co-organized by Carleton’s ACT Center and benefiting The Key, Project Friendship, and Northfield Special Olympics, raised over $15,000 this year. This is about a $3,000 increase from the previous year. The event ran especially smooth this year, especially the days of the sale. The benefiting organizations and ACT were involved in every aspect of the event, from gathering and setup to pricing to running the sale to tear down. A big thanks to Connie Neubel and Kathy Lansing for their wonderful help and to the ACT Center (thanks Laura, Amber, Toby, and others) for being such a wonderful help this year. And of course, this being the Key’s website, one must not forget to thank the absolutely tireless efforts of the current and past Youth Board and members of the Adult Board who put in so much time and effort to make this a success. You guys were wonderful this year. To see a large quantity of pictures from the sale, please click here.
