Union of Youth

The Northfield Union of Youth’s program Cooking With Luigi! received a $400 Chemical-Free grant from the Northfield Healthy Community Initiative (HCI). This means that future cooking sessions with Luigi and Andi Sison are free to youth ages 12-20. We also encourage youth with court-ordered community service from Rice County Corrections to participate in the program. Anyone with questions should contact the Key at 507.663.0715. The Key’s Breakdancing program continues on, meeting after schools on Fridays and Mondays from 3:00-4:30 at the lower cafeteria in the High School. This program is always free and is open to youth ages 12-20. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, come on down and break with us in a very comfortable environment. Art Project will be pinatas for Tuesday the 21st at 7:00pm. Participation and supplies are free to all. Come on down and create your own paper mache pinata. This will be a two week project - the first week will be creating the pinata and the second will be decorating them.

The Key’s literary and visual arts magazine The Scream is looking for contributions and help. Ani Lovoll and Marie Fischer will be running the program. If you wish to help, wish to give a contribution, or have any questions please email The Scream at: thescreammagazine@hotmail.com.

This Friday the 17th, The Key’s cooking program, Cooking With Luigi!, continues on with Pasta. A signup sheet is at The Key. Those interested are encouraged to sign up soon as slots fill quickly. Once again, Emmaus Church is the place and the time is 5:00pm. WWFSMD? Ramen.

Art Project this Tuesday will be buttons. Come on down and make a wacky humorous button, show off your political views, or a gift for a friend or family member. All supplies will be free and a experts will be on hand to advise. Kick off the winter with a catchy button.

The Key’s newest program, Cooking With Luigi!, will be cooking Meat and Potatoes for its Friday the 10th session. Those wishing to participate should bring $5 to the session for cost of ingredients. 5:00 is the start time and the location is Emmaus Church.
