The Key receives grant for Cooking Program

The Northfield Union of Youth’s program Cooking With Luigi! received a $400 Chemical-Free grant from the Northfield Healthy Community Initiative (HCI). This means that future cooking sessions with Luigi and Andi Sison are free to youth ages 12-20. We also encourage youth with court-ordered community service from Rice County Corrections to participate in the program. Anyone with questions should contact the Key at 507.663.0715. Supported in part by the Healthy Community Intiative, with funding from SAMHSA, grant number SP12242-04.

Breakdancing Going Strong at the High School

The Key’s Breakdancing program continues on, meeting after schools on Fridays and Mondays from 3:00-4:30 at the lower cafeteria in the High School. This program is always free and is open to youth ages 12-20. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, come on down and break with us in a very comfortable environment. Art Project to tackle pinatas on the 21st

Art Project will be pinatas for Tuesday the 21st at 7:00pm. Participation and supplies are free to all. Come on down and create your own paper mache pinata. This will be a two week project - the first week will be creating the pinata and the second will be decorating them.19743.jpg

The Key’s newest program, Cooking With Luigi!, will be cooking Meat and Potatoes for its Friday the 10th session. Those wishing to participate should bring $5 to the session for cost of ingredients. 5:00 is the start time and the location is Emmaus Church. If you need a ride to Emmaus, please come to the Key at 4:45pm. Should be delicious. Anyone with questions about the program should contact the Key 507.301.9662.
