Book Club to read “Beat” classic On the Road

The Key will be handing out free copies of The Beat Generation primer, Jack Kerouac’s On The Road. First published in 1957, this work is now considered not only the bible of the Beats, but also an American classic. Come by The Key this monday, the 15th, at 5:00 to pick up a FREE copy of the book (or any time before or after then…just come on down and get your free book). Book Club meets every monday at 5:00 to discuss the previous weeks reading assignment. For the 22nd, please read Book 1 (up to page 99).

Art Project for Tuesday, May 16th 2006

On May 9th, Art Project will be making Super Cool Melty Plastic Sculptures. Art Project starts at 7:00 PM and ends at 9:00 PM. All materials are provided, and all are welcome. See ya there!

TRAMPLED BY TURTLES PLAYING MAY 5TH

Duluth-based bluegrass jambanders Trampled By Turtles will be performing at The Key Friday May 5th. Doors open 6:00 and music starts 7:00. Opening for TBT will be local act Breaking Point . The admission cost is $7 at the door. The Key is located at 303 S. Water St. next to Basils Pizza. Call 507.663.0715 for any questions.
