Extra Extra! Northfield Union of Youth to host annual sasquatch hunt!!

Rumor has it that the sasquach has been sited in the Northfield area. If you want to be a part of this monumental hunt, all you have to do is bring your pitchforks down to the key (rudimentary torches will be provided) and the hunt will be on! The first person to find and ensnare the sasquach will with $1,000 cash. All those who fail to capture the sasquatch will be subjected to embarassing tests and probes. GOOD LUCK!

Perforated Interpretations Praising Famous Men

Tuesday, January 31st The Key will be doing cardboard sculptures, not necessarily praising famous men. The cardboard and tools will be provided and the start time is 7:oopm. Creativity is encouraged.

Snow Sculptures for Art Project

This Tuesday January 24th Art Project will be making snow sculptures. Those wishing to participate should meet at the Key at 7:00pm. We will be staying in the Key’s vacinity. Please dress warm for the occasion. The Key will provide sculpting tools and hot chocolate for the participants. Contact Mukina or Stew at the Key (663-0715) with any questions. NOTE: Those wishing to compete for The Key’s T-shirt competition should read the post below.

Key T-shirt competition

Art Project for next Tuesday, January 17th will be a Key T-shirt design contest! Come in between 7:00 and 9:00pm and use your creativity to go down in history. The winning T-shirt design will be voted on and announced at the Youth board meeting on Wednesday, January 25th. Art project is always FREE and open to youth ages 12 to 20. We will have paper, paint, ink, etc available. Submissions will be accepted up until Tuesday, January 24th. The only design requirement is that it must include the key insignia somewhere in your design (a keyhole). The winning design will be produced and sold to the public! FREE T-shirt and FREE concerts at the Key for a year!!!

Reading Workshop Continues with Albert Camus’ The Stranger

The Key’s newest program, Reading Workshop, will be following up Siddhartha with the existential classic The Stranger by Albert Camus. The books will be handed out Monday, January 9th 5:00pm at the Key. All copies are free.
